DeWanna Bonner's journey with the Phoenix Mercury began in 2009, a pivotal year for the team. The Mercury claimed their second championship, led by the legendary Diana Taurasi, who was named Most Valuable Player for her outstanding regular season performances and later, Finals MVP during their postseason triumph. Bonner, too, had a stellar season, earning the Sixth Woman of the Year award alongside the championship.
